Running Equipment Product Review: Cursor 70 Treadmill: A Definite Game-Changer For My Running Routine/Program

Wouldn’t Be Running Without It

Ok so for my first running equipment product review, I felt compelled to do it about the Cursor 70 Treadmill. I’ve been using it regularly for a few months now, and I can with say with 100% certainty that without it I would not still be running, or blogging, or for that matter doing anything I set out to do with my initial endeavor.  It has completely transformed not only the overall scope of opportunity for me (I now live in a universe without an excuse to ever not be able to run), but my actual entire approach to running as well (running has basically become a part of my everyday life). As difficult as it might be at times to run on a treadmill in utter solitude (which is just coincidental to how I’m set up), it provides a controlled/safe environment where I’m protected from pretty much everything but my own thoughts. And FWIW that very aspect has hardened me to one of the biggest realities of running, which is learning to cope/accept the monotony of being alone and just manage (i.e. find whatever it takes) to keep on going. Running on a treadmill presents an entirely different world and experience than running in the great outdoors does, and for me the beauty of each is unique- and yet only identifiable because of the other. It has become a necessary/vital part of my running program.

A Treadmill For An Expert Or A Beginner

Now whether you’re a seasoned runner (a real marathoner used mine recently and said it was quite good) or just starting your fitness journey (more like me), this treadmill offers a perfect solution- if you’re looking for a basic/simple blend of functionality, convenience, and compact design that comes at a very reasonable price (which we actually found to be on the lower end of the cost spectrum). It might not have some of the bells and whistles that more expensive units have, but in all honesty I was only looking for something that allowed me to run unimpeded.

An Excellent Product Overall

First and foremost, the build quality of the Cursor 70 is excellent. Although lightweight, it’s sturdy and stable without a hint of wobble or flimsiness. Even during higher-speed runs (definitely weren’t done by me, lol) the frame is solid and doesn’t wobble or creak. Although not super-wide, the running deck is spacious enough to accommodate longer strides, and so far there has been plenty of room for me when I adjust my cadence (whether intentionally or stumblewise), and the cushioning system has done a fantastic job reducing impact on my joints. As someone with occasional (in actuality real and not just imagined) foot and ankle pain, this feature has proven to be incredibly important, and it has allowed me to run comfortably to the extent that following an extended and/or few days’ of Real World runs, I consider a day or two of treadmill runs necessary for proper recovery.

What Keeps The Treadmill Going

The motor is another standout feature. It’s surprisingly quiet for its power, making it ideal for anyone not wanting to encroach upon the sanctity of other household members or shared/common wall neighbors. And whether I’m starting out with at a warm-up pace or lumbering onward to my cool down walk, the Cursor 70 delivers smooth, consistent performance without any lag or stuttering. The speed and safety adjustments are responsive and easy to access via the well-designed console and side safety railings (which are very helpful/useful for balance- if/when needed).

Treadmill Control Console Is Feature Packed

Speaking of the console, it’s intuitive and packed with useful features. The LED display is clear and easy to read (too easy sometimes), showing all the key metrics like time, distance, speed, and calories (there are probably more but I don’t need/use them). I believe there are also several built-in workout programs that cater to different fitness goals, from fat burning to endurance training, but at this point in my training program I only use the equipment for the simple basics (distance/speed/time)- for which it handily delivers. Although I don’t use them, I’m sure the pre-set programs offering workouts that are varied and challenging, might be very beneficial for someone looking for additional features. The console tray also includes a convenient rack with tray spaces on either side where you can rest your phone, a water bottle, or other items that one might want within immediate reach.

Lightweight Portable Design Treadmill

Another major plus is the foldable design. Space is tight in my basement, so the ability to fold and roll the treadmill out of the way is a lifesaver. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver and can be stored easily. I was looking for a compact, easy to get to and use treadmill and the Cursor 70 is exactly that.

Overall Treadmill Summary – Highly Recommend

So for my running equipment product review for the Cursor 70 Treadmill, in summary, the Cursor 70 Treadmill has far exceeded my expectations. It combines performance, durability, and smart features in a way that makes it a fantastic investment for anyone serious about maintaining their running goals from home. It offers great value for the price and truly feels like a commercial-grade machine (and I’ve run on plenty of big gym treadmills to make that comparison) tailored for home use. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, affordable, feature-rich treadmill to enhance their training routine.
